Ingredients

Jackfruit-Skagen Sandwich, with one adjustment: use the Jackfruit-Skagen Maki mixture ingredients, and instead of using maki ingredients, serve it with slices of bread.


Garnish with fresh dill, caviar, and lemon wedges for a complete presentation.

Preparation

Make ahead:

The jackfruit skagen sandwich mixture tastes even better the next day making it the perfect make-ahead meal. Store prepared jackfruit skagen in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Make the sandwiches fresh.
 



Different use of Skagen:

This jackfruit skagen is great on a sandwich, but it's also delicious served with crackers as a kind of dip, or on lettuce leaves to make lettuce wraps.


For added protein:

Use 50% jackfruit and 50% mashed chickpeas in this recipe. It will also give the sandwich a flavor and texture closer to a plant-based tuna filling.
